Did anybody else read the thread on ST about 2:3 breathing by Gary Hall Sr. (you might have heard of his son, a swimmer by the same name)?

Anyway, I found it the oddest thing ever, but he advocates taking 2 breaths for every 3 strokes.  That's right, you will take a breath on one side and immediately another on the other side.  Stroke once, then start the cycle over starting on the side you last breathed on with another stroke.  Basically breathing L-R-stroke-R-L-stroke-L-R. This is the first I have ever heard of this recommendation, and I find it very intriguing.

 What are you guys' thoughts?

Ah thanks, I did not see that thread.  I do think it's almost crazy, but I don't understand his intent unless he really believed it.

SouSounds strange to me too, but worth a try.

My logic tells me that I would actually get more tired quicker for all the extra head turning...
