Subject: Clip on aerobars: fitting

Just picked up a set of t2+ aerobars for my roadbike. I am already fit to the bike so I'm looking for pointers on how to "fit" the aerobars both width and length. Everything I've read indicates that I should move the seat forward so I'm not stretching for the aero bars. My seat is pretty much as far forward as it can go so I suspect I'll have to move the aerobars back (they can slide through the bracket).

Any tips or tricks?

You should really be "re-fit" with the aerobars. This is my personal opinion obviousley, but when you add that element to the bike its important your seat is set correctly in the new posotion etc.... even something like a saddle change warrants a re-fit if you can swing it.
Try to go by the shop you had your fit done at and see if they dont mind hooking you up since you got the bars.

I just got some clip-on aerobars a couple of weeks ago and went back to my LBS to get refitted. I'm so glad I did because he changed pretty much everything. I haven't been able to ride it outside yet due to the weather, but I've ridden it on my trainer with the aeros and it's so much more comfortable then when I rode with them before I got refitted. I highly suggest getting refitted! It's worth the money in my opinion!
