Pre-race routine:

Woke up - had some Mcdonalds - mmmm... Before races is the only time I allow myself to eat there.
Event warmup:

Put bike together. I have a tiny car so I had to take my bike apart to fit it in with my sister's bike. So warm up consisted of putting all of the pieces back together.

Comments:

I really should have hydrated better. I drank a Rockstar and half of a bottle of water.
What would you do differently?:

More water and - should have tested out my jerry rigged fender BEFORE the race - 15 miles in the very nice bike mechanic tightened it up and gave me some more tire clearance - I appologised for needing his help and he said that it was no problem cause "anyone that rides with a Rockstar in their water bottle cage is okay with me".
Post race
Warm down:

Took bike apart, again...

What limited your ability to perform faster:

This was not a race just a pre-season warm up ride.

Event comments:

I was kind of hoping that the chili feed would be at the end of the tour, but it was at the midpoint. I hate stopping in the middle of a ride - I like to make it to the end - then party.

Performance: Good

Course: I psyched myself out way too much. In my opinion there were only 2 "real" hills - everything else was easy rollers. I was riding with my little sister who is recovering from a knee injury so we took it really easy. There were a lot of people walking their bikes up the hills. I think working out with my personal trainer helped me. I never needed to take a break or walk my bike.

Really? I was there at 10:45 and there were just some booths in front of the bike shop.
