Have any of you done a tri like this?  It sounds like an adventure.  I am absolutely not in shape for anything like this, but it's not until August...

I've done the Waterloo Oly 3x which is done at the same location.  AWESOME and BEAUTIFUL venue and well put on by Elite Endeavors!!

The bike and run course are each challenging (especially the run) but fun!

So any suggestions on the swim across 3 wilderness lakes carrying your shoes along the way?

I was thinking of putting them in a zip lock baggie, one each.  The baggie would then go into a Mag pouch, spread a equal distance across my waist so they rode just above my outer butt check.  Sorta above the outside of your jeans pocket.  Attached to a belt.

I have a couple different type belts that hold the pouches, but need to swim with them and see how they drag and then rub on a run.

That sounds incredible- like a mini version of the S.O.S. race (google Save the Shaunagunks, or however its spelled which is one of my lifetime goals).  Maybe I can do it next year if they're still running it.
