I'm up..... mentally preparing for a 4 mile run today.

Went to a USAT Rules clinic last night at our local Y.
WOW. Lots of points I hadn't thought about (re: drafting lengths, no assistance from others, having others run with you, etc.).
Good stuff.
The article on the BT home page highlights most of what they talked about.

Happy training all!

"Woke up, fell out of bed, dragged a comb across my head..."

Sheesh, THAT'S getting tougher as the years go by! Well, Patti and I are off to the health club for our daily workout. Getting her to go with me for these is the best part. Training with someone you love makes it a lot more enjoyable, and the motivation level stays right up there. And I look at the gains that I've made, then look at her and see what she is struggling with just to work out (Multiple Sclerosis for 18 years) and that inspires me even more. You rock gal...my hero!

If I wait to put in my training after I do it, I won't put it in til Friday, so...

One hour swim. Will do some drills and a mile-long pyramid swim:
50-50-100-150-200-250-300-250-200-150-100-50-50

Then I'm on the trainer again this evening for one hour.

Wow, Max.  Your wife is an inspiration.

Biked 16.7 miles and ran 10 miles.  Beautiful day, but windy.  Orange blossoms in bloom now.  Smelled wonderful!

I felt really bad this morning. I walked the dog and then almost went back to bed. I didn't train yesterday and felt like I couldn't train today. Then I came on this site and got a little inspired. It was a nice sunny morning but I went to train at the Y eventhough I felt I should be out on a long run or bike ride. I did 30 min on the rower, 30 min on the lifecycle level 20 cadence 100-120 rpm, 30 min treadmill run, hill intervals. Then 30 minutes in the pool.
I think I am going to try an indoor training experiment for the rest of this month. I'll train at the gym all week and then bike and run on the weekend outside and see if can get any kind of results that way. I'm finding training inside allows me to do more in less time.

Good swim day was a little more relaxed endurance seems to be improving every week. A month ago I didnt even know how to swim let alone swim the entire length. Today 200 meters non-stop. For a total of 625. Feels good.

don't know how I forgot to post this earlier.....I did 37 minutes on my bike trainer. HRM was giving me fits and I was just plain tired to I bagged it after 37. I need to make a sign to remind myself this was supposed to be an easy week anyhow.

great job everyone!

A.M. - 35 minute spinning class. Went at it pretty hard today.
P.M. - 20 miles on my rollers. Easy endurance ride, worked on keeping cadence around 90 rpm.

65 minute ride on indoor bike trainer. I would have liked to ride outdoors today, but it still isn't light out long enough after work. The roads are dry, and now it is warm enough.
Have a day off work tomorrow....woo hoo!
