Lose the saddle mange first or you'll end up with funk on your junk.

I thought you meant you were going to race in a Speedo, like we did back in the 80's and early 90's.  Of course, you still could, which would look rather interesting on the old bike!

The saddle mange/stain is a transition tactic that guarantees extra space.

And let's face it, dudes who wore speedos to races were of two categories:

a. the one guy who won

b. perverts

missin' me some goddess

I'm out

Huh! Kind of looks like the bike I used my whole first season, except it had higher/wider handlebars.

Oh no, when I raced before (roughly the first half of the 90's), it was all speedo's! Only noobs wore  bike-short length tights.

I can guarantee that I was not in category A.  Can't really speak to B.

When you say "old school", you were of course referring to the school for the mentally challenged?

When I first got my cruiser, I flat-out enjoyed riding it so much that I instantly thought that I should do a sprint tri on it one day, just for kicks.

It's an ancient, slightly rusted, 40+ pound, red 3 speed step-through Schwinn.  I think if I were going to race it, I'd remove the pannier rack and numerous reflectors... just plunk a bottle of water in the basket and off I go!  Heck, with your inspiration, maybe I still will.

That's cool.  I vowed to take a smaller race, and wear a costume the entire time....  Like a spiderman or superman (cap and all) costume...
