Hmm...these results look VERY accurate.

The guy who won my AG rode 33.8 mph (after riding 20 mph 1 week earlier at King Tut). Something tells me he only did 1 lap.

The guys who were 2nd and 3rd in my AG had 1 minute swim times. Color me impressed.

And if you add up the times for me that they have posted, you get 1:02:30 something, yet my total time listed in 1:03:20.

Great job Doofus Athletes! You guys ROCK!

Why is it when I read your comments about the results from today that the phrase "So easy a Caveman could do it" comes to mind...

There were some really fast swimmers out there - at least three in the top 25 with swim times under :40...that's shark-like.

My garmin showed around 13 miles for the bike, do you guys have similar numbers?

I didn't do this race, my wife did though, and I did St. Patty's in March. I'm pretty sure this has pushed me to start avoiding DSU/Dallas Athletes/whatever races. I used to overlook DSU race problems because I always had fun and the problems were never too significant. They seem to have gotten out of hand lately though and with the huge timing errors too, I can't bring myself to pay so much money for races when Ironhead's and Playtri's are much more consistent and cheaper (especially if you register early like I do).

I received an updated timing sheet from the timing company. Some appear to be corrected some not, taking with a grain of salt.

Thanks - my swim time went from 1:34 to 2 minutes - wew I knew I was fast but at that speed I must have a wake about 2 feet high.  I like the legal pad at the swim start - I feel all warm and fuzzy about the swim times.

Nice. Now the dude who miraculously gained 13 mph from 1 week to the next has moved from 1st in Male 30-34 to 1st Overall. That makes sense. And instead of 1 minute swims for the new winner and runner up, they have 2 minute swims.

Right on!

x3, mine was right at 13.25.

I had 13.18. Apparently the original 11 miles listed was a random number.

To be fair, they did change the course after posting the '11 miles' part so the DSU guys were saying it was closer to 12.5. It's still off, but at least it's in the ballpark.

This is funny reading.  I wasn't at the race.  I recognize this email address  [email protected] .  I get email blasts from Michelle about running races in Stonebridge Ranch.  I wonder if she is now also running a timing company?

Yup. She is. I met her at the Spring Fling Aquathlon 3 weeks ago. Another race with fubar results, but at least there they posted splits and fixed the results before the awards.

In that race they had my time at 30 minutes flat. But I had a picture of me that a friend took getting my chip off after finishing the race where you can clearly see 29:12 in the background. That fixed that pretty easily.

LOL... x3. I was talking to folks around me when the race started that I was a little nervous given the legal pad.

Hhhhmmmm.  My garmin said 0.0, forgot to hit start.  Guess I could submit my resume with the timing chip company, I might fit right in. ha

Well now I have to debate about doing the Texas Man - since it is open water they might have the timing mate on a boat floating in the lake, with a guy on the back with binoculars watching the waves start - might have to jump and do the Ironhead race

Better yet, contest the results and point out that you were obviously in first place.

Ha, that might actually work if they didnt know me and saw my slow butt running.  I should have done 1 lap of the bike and 1 lap of the run, the times would have been believable.

I wish I could rely on the timing of the swim.  I  hit my target according to them (if you consider the timing mat at the end of the swim was outside), and I want to believe it because I was gassed. My goal was to go sub 4:00 on the swim and survive the bike and run since the only training I have done this year was to start swimming this past month.

I've been told that it will NOT be the same timing company doing DSU's open water races.

Chip Racing websites shows that they are doing the sprint - I would believe they would be doing both?

I passed along everyones concerns about the timing company and they said they will review and possibly make a change.  I will post an update if they let me know they have made a change.
