Pre-race routine:

Felt sick to my stomach due to over eating pizza and potato chips at 8PM the night before. I did not eat or drink anything before the race. My weight was 6lbs over my normal morning weight. Probably due to retaining water from all the salt in the pizza and potato chips. So, I felt comfortable doing a 5K without more fluids.
Event warmup:

Ran 7 minutes at 8:15 and 8 minutes at 8:45. Stretched at the starting line.

Comments:

Out in 11:38, back in 11:46.
What would you do differently?:

Get some higher intensity runs in before the event. I'll try to do this for the next runs.

Walked off the run.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Maybe the night before. Probably not enough hard runs in the past few months or even weeks.

Event comments:

Big party at Flannagans for the those able to enjoy it. I prerace breakfast was also offered but I did not attend that.
