Hey Gang,

I've been tri'ing and running for a long time, but have never been much of a trail runner. I'm signied up for a 15k trail run on the 28th, but don't have trail specific shoes. Will I be okay in my normal Brooks Addiction or should I spring for the trail specific Brooks Cascadias for this one event?

Thanks in advance to all you trail runners!

What kind of "trail" is it?  Many trail runs are mostly on relatively level packed dirt where you don't really get much benefit from a trail-specific shoe.

not real sure. I haven't run this particular trail. I did, however, call my local Fleet Feet for advice. They told me not to worry getting the trail specific shoes if I don't run the trails frequently. They seemed to think I might even be better off in my Addiction anyway. I'll save the cash!
