Comments: Was a great club event, and I wished that I could have done the full 100K instead of the short route. I had actually planned to do two loops of the short route, but it was all I could do to make it to end of the short route. I even did the full Broadway extension loop, which had some rolling hills that made it fun. A few others took the short route, too, which made it even more fun, especially passing the time at Starbucks. What would you do differently?: Nothing - I did the best I could under the circumstances. Post race
Warm down: Sat at Starbucks for 90 minutes waiting for the rest of the club to come in. Ate a protein bar and a Starbucks Vivanno protein shake. Felt a lot better by the time the rest of the group came in. Able to ride in front part of group on the last 6 miles to the party house. What limited your ability to perform faster: migraine! Event comments: After event party was a blast! Good food, great people to hang with, and beer! Made it all worth while. So glad I hung in there and decided to ride! Last updated: 2009-02-03 12:00 AM

Woke up with migraine. Ate some oatmeal. Hoped it would break before the ride. It didn't, but the pain lessened enough to start the ride.
