woke up, ate a clif bar and banana.
Event warmup:

did a quick jog before the start to try to warm up a bit.

Comments:

ran better than expected. had planned on a 1:28 but felt good so kept picking it up. finished still feeling very strong.
What would you do differently?:

push it a little harder. it felt too comfortable.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

my own head. i didn't believe that i could run faster.

Event comments:

great race weekend. the post race activities are second to none.

Course: flat, fort story section is incredibly boring and the camber on shore drive is a killer.

Great race - you were moving and you did the 8K the day before too!

I imagine that we were running pretty close to each other most of the race given our similar finish times.
