Comments: Started out fast and got sucked into the pace of the other runners. Was running a little unstable for the first couple of minutes, because of the uneven ground. Then settled with my own pace. Course was very nice and winded through the park. Felt very good all the way through the race. On the last hill a co-worker saw me and cheered me on. The course went downhill from there and I sprinted the last couple of hundred yards to the finish line, passing several people on those last yards. What would you do differently?: Nothing. This was a good race for me. Post race
Warm down: Walked around a little and then stretched some. Took off right after the race for some serious breakfast. What limited your ability to perform faster: Speedwork, speedwork, speedwork and experience... But I am happy with the results, so no complains here. :-) Event comments: Give the man that makes the annoucements a megaphone next time! :-) This is a very nice race. Got up at 7AM. Had a granola bar and some gatorade/water mix. Headed out to the race a little after 7.30AM. Been there way to early and it was cold, therefore we waited in the car after we picked up our packages.
Light jogging back from the restrooms, light jogging to the start line and a lot of hopping around to stay warm.
