Comments: Not too much to report besides the wind(20-25mph). I was in the lead by about 600m into the race and that's the way it went. So mainly a Time Trial for me. 3/4 of the first mile were with the wind, but this was also the most blocked section from the wind. Then we turned for about 500m with a cross wind them basically all of mile 2 was a head wind. I probably had 10-15s at the half way point on 2nd so I was pretty alone. Happy with my time, it's about what I was expecting to run with out the wind in the equation. It's also a PR, so can't complain. ;) Didn't wear a watch, so don't know splits. They did call out 11:08 at the 2 mile mark. I'm guessing I did 5:28 for the first mile, 5:40 for the 2nd and 5:30ish for the last. What would you do differently?: I had more in me, but it's hard to dig for no reason. Maybe if I knew my time I could of pushed more.. but I don't like running 5ks with a watch. Infact I typically run anything 10k or under better with no watch. Post race
Warm down: Jogged around for a bit, est: 2 miles. What limited your ability to perform faster: Wind and lack of other fast runners. Event comments: Kinda shaky on the organization end. Last updated: 2009-03-28 12:00 AM

Woke up at 5:45 ate some oatmeal and banana and drank some water. Took a quick shower to wake me up then wrote down directions and took off.
It was fairly cold, and the wind really made it colder than it was (20mph winds) So I jogged around till it was time to go.
