Total Time = 42m 40s
Overall Rank = 3109/13294
Age Group = M35-39
Age Group Rank = 383/
Event warmup:

Just a very short run because I knew that it wouldn't do much good with as cold as it was.
  • 42m 40s
  • 4.97 miles
  • 08m 35s  min/mile

This was a sloshing slush fest. There was at least 1 if not 2 inches of snow on the route. So Tony (2goggs) and I just sand bagged it. He didn't want to get hurt with his race next week and I wasn't in the mood to push it in that much snow, slush, water, etc. So it was more of an up tempo training run.
Crossed the line about 1 minute slower than last year. Had it been dry, I think I could have easily gotten below 40:00. Looks like HR maxed out at 185 which was much lower than last year but I also wasn't pushing it as hard.
Oh well, it happens.
What would you do differently?:

See what someone could do about the weather? In honesty, nothing.
Post race
Warm down:

Walk back to the car because my feet were frozen and soaked.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Event comments:

This year average. But it was the weather not the race. Nothing could be done about it. I'll keep doing it if they keep having it.

Nice run!  That's still really fast, especially considering the weather.

Any fun pictures of you and 2googs?

That's a great time considering the conditions. I volunteered at gear check yesterday, and I looked out and decided there was no way I would have run in those conditions. I would have stayed in bed.

Nice job on the race, especially with those terrible conditions.

Hey crowny, not too shabby on your part either!  That's a pretty good time for an "up tempo" run on an absolutely nasty day.  "Really"?  That's what I was asking myself that morning.

I'm sorry I missed meeting you at the post-race meetup.  But, I know I would have been outta there so fast if i didn't have dry shoes or clothes to get into.  "Next time".

FYI, some of the race pics are up (only 32% done so far) on the marathonfoto site.  You can just see the MISERY on some of those faces!!!!Misery
