Good times gang!  That really was horribly hilly.  Good to see Craig, Amy, Wavedog, Whizzz, and ride with Coredump for 50 miles or so.  Sorry I missed a bunch of you!

It was so great to see AJ, Craig, Tammy, Kristen, bertgwen, WAVEDAWG!, mndiver (and wife Kelly), WHIZZZZZ and MissKelly, donnawhiz and her entourage Dan and Norm(?), didn't catch coredump nor Peter but Lori (Mrs. Peter ), and that super-killer speed freak on the bike - SCHMIZE!  Holy-Schmoley did he kick the 200K course with just finishing a little over 7 hours!!

Kristen (aka Lazymarathoner) decided to fly by me and bertgwen at the last 30 yards or so to "chick" me (the little shat).

It was a BRUTAL ride with it being around 82 degrees, humid, and HILLY!!!!!  IM Moo isn't so tough of a bike course anymore.

I couldn't resist Phil, I saw the Culver's tent and just needed to get a cone ASAP

You can't resist me?

LOL, yes, it was the sexy arm warmers!!!!

When I get them back from Wavedog, since being old and decrepid and losing my memory I forgot them and he picked them up for me, I'll wear them on one of these nights for my wife - maybe she'll get turned on by them.

Kelly, the kids and I finally made the trip back.  Was very happy to stick around an extra night just to meet up and talk with the WI/IL contingent of BT.  Had a great time despite those hills kicking me all over the place.  This is a very tough ride.  Look forward to catching up with a bunch of you on a group ride of MOO and then the big show in September again.

Good to see all of those I saw! That really did suck but I had a blast!

The best part: The triple cheeseburger from Wendy's afterwards.

I posted some photos of our fun little adventure. If it weren't for the BT camaraderie I would have been reduced to tears for sure!

Good times indeed!  ( We're a sick bunch ).

Thanks again for letting me tag along with your group.  I really would not have done as well on my own for those last 2 stages.

I can't wait for next year.

I can't wait for next year.

And this is what I was talking about at the table after we finished.  I am convinced that we, as endurance athletes, have the shortest short term memories in the world.  I have already forgotten, and am looking forward to next year.  Sick.  Very, very sick.

Seriously, though.  It was great to see everyone and it looked like everyone had as much fun as they could in those conditions.  Great, great ride that will serve us well in the events to come!

If the date doesnt conflict with the kickball tourney i gotta run, i would be game for TTing this with ya.  Do they have a 300k?  If not, Dairyland Dare does and I dont plan on an IM next year so would be up for it.

I know we have talked about this before, and I definitely would consider playing that game.   The group I ride with in the morning tried this a couple of years ago, but they called it quits at mile 90.  And they are very strong.

It would take some really good strategy with aid stations and hopefully its not so hot ( I was throwing down a 24oz every 1/2 hour and not going to the bathroom).   We would definitely have to plan to save some  (read:  a ton) of energy for the last 20' of pure HELL.  Some pacelining, etc.
But, would be a great time and test to do.
