Run
Comments: Maintained a steady pace throughout, at what I felt like was my 10K pace. Breathing deep and beyond the carry a conversation level. Feet felt slow and legs hurt the first mile. Big-time DOMS from strength training legs earlier this week didn't help. Just wanted to stay steady and give a little kick at the end. Tried my best to have fun, but man am I slow. What would you do differently?: Don't do squats for the first time in 3 years just days before a race. Post race
Warm down: stretched a bit, muscles *tight*. A couple orange slices, and coffee! What limited your ability to perform faster: Leg soreness didn't help and I began blistering at the 2 mile mark. Blisteres have been a chronic problem on every run since MIT 5 weeks ago. It's making run training very unappealing. I need to find a solution ASAP 'cause it's messing my training up bad. Event comments: Nice job by Chris Fox and PB Roadrunners organizing this inagural race. Last updated: 2009-04-18 12:00 AM

Coffee! and 4 advil.
Supposed to meet Jim & Max @ 6:30 to ride our bikes to the strat, but Jim had a complicated morning so I ended up riding on my own. Good way to wake up my legs which are still very tight and achy from squats.
