Run
Comments: This was another tough course so I knew a PR would be tough. I really wanted to negative split today so I took it out easy the first mile and came in at 6:33. I picked it up on the second mile and was able to run a 6:22, but I couldn't hold that pace for any longer. The hills at the end of the run were tough and I lost a lot of energy running up them. The positive I can take from this run is that during the flats on mile 3 I felt really good, so on a flatter course I could have held that 6:30 pace. I actually had some energy left in the end and kicked which was fun! This was my best overall finish in a 5k. What would you do differently?: Nothing. Post race
Warm down: Got my award for 3rd in the AG and ran to my car because I had a soccer game to get to! What limited your ability to perform faster: Very little speedwork. Hills on the final mile. Last updated: 2009-04-12 12:00 AM
