Swim
Comments: Could have gone faster. Held up a bit but not quick enough to overtake so drafted and sped up last 150m. What would you do differently?: start with others closer to my time to avoid getting held up Transition 1
Comments: Forgot number belt. Good time What would you do differently?: Number belt with bike shoes so cant forget. Bike
What would you do differently?: Nothing. Train more !! Transition 2
Comments: Not too bad, bit slow getting running shoes on. What would you do differently?: Make sure feet are dry before putting bike shoes on as socks wet so couldnt get trainers on. Try taking feet out of shoes while on bike Run
Comments: Hard work at start uphill. walked whilst drinking and then ran hard in 2nd half. Got bad cramp in thighs last 1/2 mile. What would you do differently?: Gel on the bike Post race
Warm down: Not much. walking and stretching. What limited your ability to perform faster: Lack of bike training mileage. The hills. Event comments: Excellent organisation and goody bag. Let down by road surface and path to and from park on the run. Last updated: 2009-01-20 12:00 AM

Porridge and banana for breakfast. 3 1/2 hours before race. Energy bar and drink 40 mins before start. Transition set up 1 hour before start and lok round T area.
