Totally looking forward to it and mostly just crossing my fingers that I can find my bike after the first part. Stacey Nash, 32, red "vintage" trek and no idea what I'm wearing yet! It's supposed to be really nice though - who-hoo! I'll be the one walking around looking confused (well, that's a normal look but this will be an extra special confused look) |

So, IF you want, post your real name, age group, kind of bike and if you know, what you will be wearing. We can use the names to look up race numbers. That way, we can find us BTers easier! Pam Grande 45-49 Red Kestrel, bright orange sweatshirt BEFORE the race...not sure what during, do to the temp. Pam! You are a brain child! Great idea. Sarah Paterson, 45-49 (looks like I'll be in good company ); Jamis bike-blue road bike with aeros clipped on with duct tape holding on my bike computer (yeah, classy and profession eh?)... not sure what I'll be wearing...watchin' the weather. |

Expert 1238 Denver, Colorado | Subject: RE: Paper Discovery duathlon : Official Thread Do any Madisonianites going to the race have room for me in their car for the race? Oh yeah I have a bike too. I live by Trader Joe's on west side. It's crunch time at school so somehow I am in the middle of my second consecutive all-nighter--on a Friday night! And my car has a flat tire. With luck I'll get to sleep at 6 or 7 am, but I don't think it's humanly possible for me to wake up Saturday before the tire places close, so I'm starting to get worried about my transportation situation. Alternatively are there any tire places that are open late? Like...till 9 on a Saturday. |

Expert 1238 Denver, Colorado | Subject: RE: Paper Discovery duathlon : Official Thread Okay nevermind, I managed to get the tire fixed this morning -- but at a cost of 4 hours of potential sleep! Now I have to choose between sleep and the Bulls game, and I'm hoping to go with the Bulls. I'm going to be one slow dude tomorrow. |

Master 1480 Muskego, WI | Subject: RE: Paper Discovery duathlon : Official Thread Great race, nice scenery on the run! Well organized. My race report is up! (and it didn't take me a week to do it!0 Bummed that I did not see Sarah (bbmoozer), GracefulDave, BigRacer. DID see, and warm up with the other Sarah (lunatick); Dave Niles (skayvoovie) ;and Wayne Arner (vic1365). (funny story there, I was looking at my 'list" of BTers to try to find, and was reading it to Sarah, when Wayne, said "thats me" He was racked right by me! (kind of funny look on his face when I said his name, till I told him who I was...he then said "BTer?". Nice meeting the couple of you that I did not previously know! (only knew the 2 Sarahs). I'll be riding a blue cervelo dual, and i'll be wearing the same junk my avatar has on. Did I yell "Wake up Dave!" to you towards the end of the first run, or did I really confuse someone who looked like you? Sorry I missed most everyone, I got there at as the first runners were finishing the first run. Stayed through most of the finishers but had to get the kiddo home to eat lunch and take a nap. What a beautiful day for a race. Edited by graceful_dave 2009-05-03 9:33 PM |
