I'll be doing the 65 mile route myself. I should be easy to spot. I'll be the guy riding the bike with the stretchy shirt on.

If the weather is good I'll do the 65 miler...sort of.  Need to shingle if it's not raining so I'll have my wife drop me off around 7:00.  Course comes within 3 miles of my place around mile 55 or so.  At that point I'll just go home.  Hoping to do some drafting and just hammer the ride.

I'll be the fairly big guy on the gray Cervelo P2C wearing a red helmet.  Look for the guy with a big pig from Divine Swine Catering on his jersey.

I'll be there!  I'll have the silver helmet and glasses. And I'm riding a blue Trek 1000 WSD.  That'll narrow it down to a few hundred choices.

I suppose I can expand on my description just a bit Tongue out. Probably a bright orange bike jersey and a blue/white specialized tarmac road bike. Not sure if it will have aero's on it or not. A guy that looks like me but 25 years older will be riding with me. He claims to be my Dad but I've only known him since I was born and I have my doubts Tongue out.

Whoa, two smilies in one post. I should lay off the coffee.

My attire strongly depends on weather.  I hope I don't have to wear this (that is not my new helmet or glasses, although they look rather similar):

I am not doing it unless it is sunny and warm. I'll be the one that hasn't shaved his legs

I'm in for the 100, although the 65 mile cutoff may be tempting if cold/wet! Actually looking forward to Iron man this year, may not be too cold! I also will be sporting black shorts/leg warmers, and a neon yellow-green jacket!

With great power comes great responsibility.  I think Emily is letting the power of moderator allow her to rewrite BT history books

You got me, I had to play the joke just once.  Don't worry, I won't ever actually censor anyone.

Anyway, I can spell both whether and weather.  I just chose the wrong word!  Or, maybe I meant to say "...whether the weather complies." and was interrupted.

Its actually the Ironman bike ride 5 years ago that got me into triathlons. A cycling friend of mine and I went up and did the ride. In the packet was a copy of Midwest Events magazine. As I looked through the magazine I noticed a bunch of ads for triathlons and on many of them I thought. "I ran cross country in high school and I bike now, and I'm sure I can get to swimming .25 to .5 miles." Well, next thing you know I'm doing my first triathlon the following year in Owatonna.

I rode 65 of the coldest, wetest miles ever! My poor bike is going to need a lot of attention tonight!

I'm afraid my Dad, wife and I all wussed out. We instead rode yesterday. We got up at 6:30, saw that it was 40 and we were going to get wet and decided to bail. Good job to the rest of you! Don't get sick!

I wasn't really planning to go, but can't say I exactly bailed. I ran 16 instead and and what a cold wet run it was.

I fully admit I was only going to do this if it was nice out.  Not even close so I just went to Lifetime.  People looked freakin miserable.

Edited to say this was from Mndiver.

I cannot even understand why you would have attempted it. I am pretty certain most blue efficient types would have bagged it
