michellekel - 2009-04-29 10:37 PM Does anyone know how far out we go before we are in water deep enough to swim?

The swim leg usually is along the beach...and...you swim straigh till a buoy that is locate at 1/2 mile far from the swim exit and where you will do an U-turn...and...then swim back...It's usually calm but last year was very choppy...and...the tide can be low or high...you can check that in Weather Channel...LOL

yeah last year earlier in the season (june) when i did a sprint there it was so shallow people actually walked on the sandbar in between yrd 100-200.  it was pretty dumb.

But...after some decided to run on the sandbar during the Trilogy#1 last year...now they (MultiRace) don't allow the people to run in the sandbar...you will be penalized...watch-out...!!!  there is a narrow space in between the sandbar and a bouy attached to a pole...and you have to pass in between...there will be some lifeguards checking in that you don't run in...

Ahhh...other important detail...when you swim back to the Swim Exit...swim till your hands touch shore....cuz...there is a big step...and...it's very deep and it's really hard...get till your hands touch the sand and then get up....and...run...

So how did the race go?

I saw the sprint was won by Mike Naunez....he is a pretty quick dude.  But Boris F was not present.

The Race was great like usual but super windy...I got 2nd place in my AG 45-49 (Olympic)...

Boris Fernandez is not racing for now cuz he is focused in his swimming training...he will cross "El Canal de La Mancha" or "English Channel" this year...
