I am going to have to go with Soma.  The tech tee and the Headsweats visor are awesome.  I think we also got a water bottle and some other doo dads?  Iron Girl comes in a close second with another tech tee and a quacking duck (there was a bunch of stuff that you could pick up). ;>P  The very worst is PFChang's.  Seems to me that a race that size should give you more then a cotton tee shirt and yesterdays junk mail.

Silverman is just over the border.... it trumps all with the backpack, blanket, towel, visor, goggles, water bottles, shirt (and one later for finishing if you do the full), & more.

We *used* to get good stuff, but it seems like starting last year the goodybags went WAY down hill, along with the race food.  The best bag I ever got was not local...was from Hy-Vee Tri in Des Moines IA. (Yes..the jersey AND computer bag were part of the free shwag)!

wow, that spread is amazing! Leave it to good ole Iowa (I am from Des Moines, shopped at many a HyVee for groceries)! Not surprising that this comes from the same state that hosts RAGBRAI! Very cool!

Silverman is known for having AWESOME race schwag. NEVER done a local race with decent schwag.

I will have 3 backpacks come this fall.

Oh... Jot... they are bringing back the ever popular Silverman blanket. The golf towell was cool this year but I do like my blanket from the year before better.

You get an extra shirt and thicker medal if you do the extra 70.3.

although doing the 1/2 entitles you to drink beer in the strip of bars the run goes through while watching people grind along.

Hm...beer vs different shirt and medal.

    Beer wins!
