Swim
Comments: Had a pretty good swim given I haven't been in the pool much this spring. Gave me some motivation to get in the pool more between now and PTC International. Also, my first race in a full wetsuit. The first portion of the race with it on went fine, but as I got on the back half of the swim course the suit got a bit confining. If PTC is wetsuit legal, it will be a tough decision as to wearing it or not. What would you do differently?: Train more Transition 1
Comments: The wetsuit got hung up on one of my heels. I forgot my body glide so just had to pull hard. What would you do differently?: I suppose I need to work on my transition times as I would have had a higher place if I had similar transition times to others above in my age group. Bike
Comments: Same comment as swim, I haven't biked much this season. I also hadn't been on the tri bike since August. To get better, need more saddle time. Transition 2
Comments: Had a pretty good T2 for me. Again, more practice. What would you do differently?: Not much. Run
Comments: I had a pretty good run for me. It's been an area I have been able to work on and it seems to be paying off. What would you do differently?: Keep after my running. Post race
Warm down: Got some water. Cooled down. Ate 1/2 a bagel. What limited your ability to perform faster: Limited training for bike and swim. Event comments: I liked the race and location was good. I would definitely do it again. Last updated: 2009-04-26 12:00 AM
