Sunny
Total Time = 2h 24m 6s
Overall Rank = 2304/3473
Age Group = Clyde 30-39
Age Group Rank = 54/81
Pre-race routine:

Breakfast at the hotel, walk over to race site. Hang out and try to stay relatively warm in the wind.
Event warmup:

None.
Swim
  • 00m
  • 1640 yards
  • / 100 yards
Comments:

Swim canceled for all but professionals because of high seas.
Transition 1
  • 00m
Comments:

Time trial start from the swim exit. Came into transition with helmet and bike shoes already on. Forgot to put bike computer when setting up, so I had to waste a few seconds grabbing it out of my bag.
What would you do differently?:

Remember to put bike computer on before leaving transition.
Bike
  • 1h 11m 27s
  • 24.85 miles
  • 20.87 mile/hr
Comments:

Received an overtaken penalty don't think I deserved, but did not receive a penalty for the water bottle I lost somewhere on the course, so it all worked out. 3:33 ahead of goal pace.
What would you do differently?:

Make sure water bottle is put away more securely.
Transition 2
  • 02m 18s
Comments:

Somebody from further down the rack had put his bike in my spot. Fortunately the person next to me was a no-show, so I moved his bike over.
What would you do differently?:

Put shoes on other side of rack so I don't have to deal with traffic behind me while putting them on.
Run
  • 1h 06m 46s
  • 6.21 miles
  • 10m 45s  min/mile
Comments:

Decent run. :15/mile behind goal pace.
What would you do differently?:

Concentrate on run training instead of bike.
Post race
Warm down:

Find friends, food tent, go back to run course to wait for Steph and cheer.

No, I had a red cycling jersey. I did get passed on the run by a guy wearing BT stuff near mile 4.
