Comments: The temperatures were warmer than I would have liked. We had actually tied a record high for Friday so I knew Saturday morning was going to be warm and it was. About 72* at race start with a stiff wind blowing. The wind was nice in that it helped keep me cool, but running into a strong headwind takes a lot out of you. The tailwind around mile 3 was nice though:). Then there was the hill at mile 4. I've never been able to run up the whole way although I came pretty close this time. I ended up power-walking the last 50 yds or so. When I got to mile 5, I checked my Garmin and realized that I had a good chance to set a new PR (my goal for the day). I pushed it as best I could for the last 1.2 miles and beat last year's time by almost 4 minutes. Not bad considering the conditions that day. What would you do differently?: Nothing really - you can't control the weather and other than that I had a good run. Post race

Woke up and had 1/2 of a large banana nut muffin and some water. I can't eat too much before a race or my stomach rebels, especially when the weather is warm.
