How cold do you think it will be with the snow melt?  I'm betting high 40's unless it's a sunny week.  Think we're going to try it.

I've got Kansas 70.3 coming up quick in June but I don't know if I can get in that cold, cold water yet. Maybe I'll just come out and look at the cold water this Saturday.

Did anyone ever hear what came of the whole needing people to volunteer ahead of time to check swimmers in and out of the water? I emailed the contact person to volunteer but never heard anything back...I am guessing all is good?

On 4/16, the water temp in Chatfield was listed as 45 degrees.
You can get water temps for the state park lakes on their websites.
Aurora is a bit trickier- I usually call them and ask.
I heard that Chatfield was putting in an open water swimming lane behind the main swim beach-
has anyone heard what is up with this?

Brrrr.... I was cold just getting into the pool this morning.

Dear Chatfield Open Water Swimmers,

As can be seen, many of the monitoring sessions are covered or partially covered for the month of May.  We need  early monitors for May 4th, 11th, 18th and 25th.  We are still missing monitors for May 27th and 30th.  This is a great start.  Thanks for the monitors.
