Pre-race routine:

Swim
  • 00m
  • 1500 meters
  • / 100 meters
Comments:

Swim cancelled :( Huge disappointment. Think I could have had a really good swim, compared to last year when I opted out of the wetsuit...and this could have given me a sizeable PR....oh well!
Transition 1
  • 01m 22s
Comments:

run from the swim finish to the transition...sent off in waves, 2 seconds apart.
What would you do differently?:

pay very good attention to where my stuff was!! I really need to work on this. Really.
Bike
  • 1h 09m 28s
  • 24.85 miles
  • 21.46 mile/hr
Transition 2
  • 02m 38s
Comments:

I was awful. Got out of the pedals ad ran on the cobblestone to transition..where I ran around and around the racks like an idiot in a panic looking for my well hidden shoes. I was so mad!!! I had to go down the row looking at the name stickers until I found my bright blue shoes hidden under my visor! Next crowded race I bring a Sponge Bob balloon!!!
What would you do differently?:

Know exactly where my stuff is!!! I lost 10th place because of my transitions.
Run
  • 47m 8s
  • 6.21 miles
  • 07m 35s  min/mile
Comments:

Ran hard and it felt hard but good. A 10k PR :) by 38 seconds!
Post race
Event comments:

I don't have a lot to say about this right now. I am proud of my efforts for the bike and run...and wish we had the chance to swim, but can understand the race director's decision, I guess. It's a great weekend away!

I am jealous... I would take that run time whenever you want to lend it out. Also those skills around corners. I seemed to lose speed and have hard time getting it back each time. Will have to practice.... Great job on Bike/Swim! After seeign the transition area, could understand the confusion.

Awesome race Mimi! Great run. Too bad about the swim. But can't you give an old bike rider like me some details about your blazing fast 21.5 mph ride?
