Subject: Should I replace tire?
I flatted out on my ride today on some glass.  It put one small cut in my tire (1/8 - 1/4 in in length).  Should I replace the tire?  Might the tube herniate through that cut, or is it safe to ride on?  I rode 10 miles home on it w.out any problem, but might be pushing my luck to keep training on it???

I don't replace training tires every time I get a small cut or puncture in it.  If the cut is is wide enough, I might put a patch on the inside of the tire to keep it from opening up.

I probably would.   I have let one go with a small cut just to get another flat in the same spot.  Small rocks can work into the hole and puncture the tube. There are tire patches, not tube patches, that you can place on the inside of the tire. I carry those also in my repair kit.
