Subject: RE: Using an Ironman plan to train for a half I followed Don Fink's 30 week plan up until week 20-something where he has you do a half (in preparation for the full ) last year - I just didn't do the full. I followed it again this Spring, but moved from the Just Finish plan to the Competitve / Intermediate plan for a HIM in 2 weeks. I did it because I wanted my body to adjust to the volume of training and to build a base -- plus it was the easiest plan for me to follow. Knowing I can handle the volume is a big confidence builder going into the Fall for my prep for IMFL. I will use his plan again for that! |
