Reading these post, especially that of MadCow, sent chills down my spine. Great job to all who toughed it out. Finishing an IM still seems like a miracle to me. GREAT JOB!!

Congrats Tom, you looked great all day. You where practically bouncing all the way down Mill Ave high fiving everyone. Great job. I managed to get a couple of shots of you on the course, you looked great.

I didn't get any photos of anyone else but did see TigerPhil and Joe M as they finished the last 0.6mile loop coming onto Mill Ave both looked great.

Once again congrats on a great race. IRONMAN

Hey guys, thanks for all the kind words and the support.  I really appreciate it.  I am working on my race report, and I'll try to get it out later today.

I'll give you a peek at the end, though...  I brought home some hardware - Second Place in Clydesdales (39 and Under).  It's a huge stone plaque, and I also got a pair of IM socks and a Timex watch!

I'm looking forward to it...I wanted to watch in person, but we had softball on Saturday for my 8 year old. Verrry bummed I missed, but on the bright side, she got a hit.

Thanks for all the congratulations...

But, when I look back on this IM... I see that the real congratulations goes to the volunteers and those who helped me make it happen. I didn't cross the finish line without help and support. The people of Arizona were sooo helpful and kind... kudos to everyone in Tempe that help make this a successfull Ironman Event.

Oh,... and BTW... Unreal gail force winds still suck! - BIG TIME

I was trying to figure out your division place.  2nd!!  You going to Kona?

No, no, no.  You can get a plaque for a Clydesdale division finish, but Kona slots are allocated based on your age group.  I was 82nd.

Phil, once again, congratulations.  Make sure you post a pic of all the prizes!  Wow, that is very cool.  Forget Hunter Kemper, I hope the next triathlete interview Ron does is with you so we can get your perspective on training and preparation for an IM.

I noticed you didn't keep your logs here on BT.  Did you keep a log of your training that is open for public viewing?

I keep them in an Excel file, which I would be glad to email to you if you like.  Just send me a PM with your email...
