Pre-race routine:

Drove from home at 5.30am after a peanut buter sandwich and some gatorade.

The swim is my best leg and ended up 16 percentile of finishers. Fairly consistent traffic all the way around.

I really intended to run hard through transition but HR was really high and I just jogged. I had elected to put the shoes on prior to mounting the bike which took some of the stress out of the transition.

Work harder on covering ground

I hadn't done much training so I was really pleased to get over 20mph av speed. From mile 10 onwards my seat was loose but didn't hinder me.

Check the bike over. Train more in the aero position

Goal was to get under 30min. Lack of training and nursing calf injury made this by far my weakest leg. 56th percentile of finishers. Felt much stronger than Lone Star a month ago.
