Comments:

As I shot off from the wall my goggles let in a load of water and I had to keep my left eye closed the whole swim. There was no way I was going to stop and readjust them. I swam pretty much as hard as I could but I never really got into a smooth rhythm. It was a good time for me though.
What would you do differently?:

Relax more and get into a rhythm
Transition 1
  • 01m 59s
Comments:

I chose to put my shoes on in transition for two reasons. 1) The start of the bike course was a little technical so I thought it would be better not to be fiddling with shoes. 2) The ground was covered in sharp stones.

In hindsight this cost me time and I probably wouldn't do it again.
What would you do differently?:

Get into shoes on the bike.

  • 20.68 mile/hr
Comments:

I never really got into a rhythm, especially on the way out and there was a really strong headwind.

This was a pretty poor performance on the bike for me and I reckon I should have been at least a minute and a half quicker.
What would you do differently?:

Go faster.
Transition 2
  • 01m 5s
Comments:

A little mishap here. Due reason 2 given in T1 comments I didn't take my feet out of my shoes before dismounting. Mistake! I slipped straight over taking skin off my hip, ankle and strangely enough both my little fingers. It didn't really cost me any time as I jumped strait back up but it was a little annoying. Thankfully the bike was fine too.
What would you do differently?:

Umm, not fall over and make a fool of myself.
Run
  • 18m 37s
  • 3.11 miles
  • 05m 59s  min/mile
Comments:

Felt sluggish on the first lap but was able to push harder on the final two. I would have liked to have gone a little faster than this but I think I will just have to be patient with my running.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Just didn't have it today.
