Comments: Ran 9 minutes/walked 1. Drank water at each station. Had one CliffShot before race, oone PowerGel at 4.5, and a vanilla GU at mile 9.  Post race
Warm down: Grabbed a water, banana, and orange, then stretched. Joined coach Cheryl and cheered friends as they came into the finishers chutes. What limited your ability to perform faster: Innate slowness? Event comments: Beautiful course, nice sunshine! It was great to cheer for friends, especially Lisa (doing part 1 of her Maniac challenge) and Tory (a totally certified (certifiable?) Maniac. Last updated: 2009-03-28 12:00 AM

Woke up at 5:37 hrs.
Ate: whole wheat bagel with peanut butter and a banana; made a cup of coffee with Starbuck's Via--wondered if this was a good idea since I had never tried Via before. Did it anyway and hoped my stomach would be ok with it. (It was)
Walked about 4-6 blocks from the parking garage to the race start.
