It seems like this race has a lot of crashes to me. In the two years I have participated in this race, I have seen more crashes and road rash then in all the other races I have done combined. I heard one story while standing in the food line that a biker was grabbed by a volunteer to prevent him from running into an on coming car on one of the sharp turns. It caused him to crash, but he was thankful that the volunteer had saved his life. Perfect day though.

My first time at liberty and my first half. That run kicked my arse. Big time. I'm going to go grill the biggest stake that will fit on my grill, wash it down with a couple of beers and then fall asleep.

I thought they put on an excellent race. I'll likely skip buffalo next year and do this one again.

Good job guys!  The run was too sunny for me, but I can't complain about the rest.  There are a lot of potentially difficult turns on the bike and it seemed like an extra amount of traffic today.  In fact, I was slowed at a turn wondering what the fancy mom-machine was going to do ahead of me.  Turn - straight - no???  What???  Oh well.   Hopefully everone had a good time, it's a nice race.

Nice job everyone!  It was nice to come up and take part in such a well run race.  Definitely more hills than I'm used to, particularly on the run.  I still managed to come away with a 33 minute PR.  All in all a good day.

Congrats to everyone out there... my second 70.3 distance and significantly over 1:30.00 (yes... one hour and thirty minute) PR at that distance.  (although round one was a different race/course)... more on that when I get a chance to post my race report... no blazing speeds for me though.  (especially on the run!!!  ughh!)
