Pace booty poll, is it ALWAYS faster than you?

It's all about focusing on what's in front of you.  My level of intensity greatly effects the perceived quality of said pace booty.

Hot, young pace booty is ALWAYS faster than me. Then men who are slower than me are usually either a million years old, or really out of shape.

To my chagrin, and probably because I started at the back of the pack, I was faster than the better quality PB in the early miles of last weekend's marathon. Thankfully, there were enough runners that I was able to flit from PB to PB like a hummingbird in a nectar field until the participants really thinned out. After that there was a high-quality duo that I swapped positions with several times over the last ten miles, right up to and past the finish. As a true gentlemen, I congratulated them on their race and thanked them for their motivation.

I will hang with some quality PB for a little while, but if they go too slow, I'll pass. 
You never know...the next one could be an upgrade!

Sadly, at the speeds I run, there is no booty that I really want to pace.  Not being choosy, my bar for "paceable booty" is set pretty low, I just can't keep up.

I live my life hoping to be someone's PB...just once.  So, please ladies, wont you just run behind me for a while and comment on the view as you pass me.

Not a lot for me to look at going at 9:30 miles.
