I'm just getting over IT Band Syndrome. My therapist was set up at the race so I got some ART beforehand and did a 20 minute run.

What would you do differently?:

Start slower. I think I went out too fast.

What limited your ability to perform faster:

Poor swim.

Jack and Adams puts on a great race.

I am dissapointed in my result today but compared to last year I should be pretty happy about it.

Course: I now know what it would be like to swim in a cesspool. There was a very strong sulfur smell coming of fof the water. Site in the water was limited to the end of my goggles. In other words, all I could see was a dark chocalte brown.

Going from Aquarena Springs to chocolate sulphur soup. Sounds like you've already covered the swimming extremes this year. Good job on improving year-to-year. IMO, that's what matters in this sport. You can't control who shows up at a race. Hope your ITBS stays away too.

Thanks for that!  I was wondering if it would really help.  Since they worked on my calf for about 5min before the race, I have not had one bit of pain since then.  Now to call them about the ITBS. 


Bumble Bee - 2009-05-15 9:42 PM I've been battling IT Band Syndrome since the end of February.  I started going to Advanced Rehab 2 weeks ago.  They totally cleared up the pain in less than 2 weeks.  I would recommend them.
