Anyone else going to this race? Nation's tri is going to be my first Oly this year, and this race is almost identical. I'll be doing the sprint version.

Still getting the heebie-jeebies about swimming in the Potomac, but at least I'll have my wetsuit...

I already had another event on that day (sprint in Westminster).  This race would have been a good tune up to see the course for Nations though.

Any other takers? My new goal is to finish the sprint in the same time it takes the ITU guys to finish the oly.

All these thunderstorms and stuff can't bode well for the swim-- I'm predicting it'll get cancelled due to fast currents or water quality, but we'll see. Still packing the wetsuit.

Well, the weather turned around and the race was awesome! I beat my 1:30:00 goal by all of 20 seconds.

Great venue, great course. My only gripe is the logistic nightmare that was the pre-race brief, racking in transition the night before, etc. It was a pain to accomplish in a car...

All in all a great race... my report is posted!

I watched the elites and talked to a few that competed in the age groups. Pretty cool to watch. Way to go! Can't wait fir my turn at The Nations Tri.
