Pre-race routine:

I camped at the site over the night before. It was fine but at 5:45 when the music started blaring, it was no longer such a great decision.
Event warmup:

I didn't really do much to warm up. Just a little stretching after racking my bike.
Swim
  • 17m 1s
  • 549 meters
  • 03m 06s / 100 meters
What would you do differently?:

Sight better!
Transition 1
  • 02m 35s
Comments:

I'm not sure why it was so slow. It was a while ago so I don't remember why my time was so pitiful.
Bike
  • 58m 21s
  • 13 miles
  • 13.37 mile/hr
What would you do differently?:

Hammer harder during the easy sections and be lighter on the hills.
Transition 2
  • 01m 27s
Comments:

This time was more like it. I was 3rd fastest in our group. I'm not sure what went so well but it must have been from having the sock on before the ride. Also, we had a good clinic on transitions at one of our club meetings and Amy Kloner and I worked on it a little bit.
Run
  • 45m 1s
  • 3.11 miles
  • 14m 28s  min/mile
Comments:

I know it was tough at the time but I think it was about the best I could have done at the time.
What would you do differently?:

Run outside more.
Post race
Warm down:

Drink water and eat! The best thing was the BBQ on the way home.

Event comments:

I love the race and the shirt is my favorite one that I have received.

This was a PR by almost 20 minutes.

This was pitifully slow but I still had difficulty sighting so I am sure it wasn't a strait path.
Suit: Tri Suit
Course: Out and around two buoys. There were also buoys for the Olympic length race so it was a little confusing but we found our way around them.

Easy course with no hills but it was still tough for me. At this time, I still was struggling with runs. It kept getting easier during the season so this was definitely on pace.
