You should be able to see it now Trixie!!   Had to move the photo to photobucket!

Where did you get the photo? Do you have a link of the race photos?

smoak - 2009-06-01 9:41 AM I did it!! I completed my first tri and don't have to sign in under GDOG's name anymore. Thanks to Kristen and the Greyhounds for letting George and I hang out at their tents. The changing tent was great! I so appreciate all the kind words of encourangement from all of you! Anyone joining George and I for the Motor City Sprint on 6/14? Susan

Great job Susan.  I'm not doing the Motor City Tri but will be at either the Big Fish or Kensington on 6/21 or 6/28.

It *looks* like perhaps your wetsuit got caught up in some armpit hairs.
It didn't seem to slow you down much, though... great race!

What a great day we had to race!

Congrats to all the first time Triathletes out there!!!!  I'm so glad I got to share your race day with you!  It was so great to see, cheer and be cheered by so many teamates (GO GREYHOUNDS!) and BT RAWK SQUAD folks!  Not to mention our strappers Steve, Trixie, Robyn and Jason (OMG...thanks for keeping my bike safe and sound b4 the race Jason!!!)

Thanks to Spartn1 for keeping us all so well informed leading up to yesterdays event!!!

Kristen and Kimm, thanks for bringing the tents...it was so nice to have a home base to see everyone at!  And Kimm, thanks for taking such good care of your HOUNDS! Laughing

Last but not least, MAJOR THANKS goes to my neighbor Billy!!!!  He's the BOMB!  He drives his beautiful bride to events, and I get to tag along.  He's the best chauffer/sherpa/wine boy EVAH!

I will try and post my photo's (a hit or miss proposition!) later tonight!

Looks like I missed all the fun

That said I went back to Canada, did the Belle River and got this yesterday!

I actually don't have much bragging right since its a small race...

Hope to see you guys in Ann Arbor Tri next week!

Congratulations Susan! Great job yesterday. You were so calm and ready to start the race. Look at my training log from yesterday. Steve took a good pic of you, me and Trish. We all look so serious and deep in thought as we look out at the water, it's so funny. Hope to see you and George soon.

Thank you everyone.  Sorry for hijacking the HI thread.  Belle River "lighthoose" is a smaller and easier race compare to HI so its much easier to get a trophy.  That was the initial race bought me to the whole triathlon scene, so I have to do it

and yes, I AM CANADIAN!
(That should explain the non-swim suit, and all the funny/stupid things I did...)

Too funny, I just looked it up too.  He had a 30:08 bike split.  He went flying past me and I was going roughly 20 mph at the time.
