Pre-race routine:

Drove three hours north to Gaylord.
Event warmup:

Jogged two miles or so, stretched, did some pick ups. Saw Kelly and we talked a little beforehand.

Comments:

There were not a ton of people in the race. In fact, there were very few. 6 minutes should not win overall. However, I'll take it. ;)

The headwind was very tough on the out, but we got to run with it on the way back. I took the lead in the first steps and never looked behind me. In fact, I barely saw anyone behind me at the turn. I was just trying to keep going.
What would you do differently?:

Try to work harder through the third quarter mile. I felt like I slowed down a bit. If I could have held on a little better, I may have broken 6 minutes.
