I'll be there. Not sure yet if I'll ride Saturday or Sunday but I'm leaning towards Saturday.

I am considering doing this one.  I want to get a 100 mile ride in this weekend.  I just do not know if I prefer riding in the car 2 hours one way and paying $30 is preferable to doing it on the SCT.  I am leaning toward the SCT at this point.

Neal, how about 70 miles with lunch mixed in halfway at Frankies.

As I said, that is what I am leaning toward.  I was just thinking that I would add 30 more after you called "uncle!".

Courtney if you Neal to agree to it you better get it in writing!  We agreed to do 70 milesat the SCT but he got a better deal to ride the GAPS and is trying to back out on me and Justin now!  I think a verbal agreement is binding in GA but I am waiting to hear back from my atty to be sure.  Yell

100 miles on the SCT is the equivalent of sticking needles in your eye.

That's what I thought about some of the sections towards the Alabama line when I rode to the border and back once. I do want to do that 120 mile trip again sometime though, maybe add on some of the Chief Ladiga path next time.

Courtney, you should have gotten me sooner.  I have already commited to Brian to do that SCT athough he does not take my commitments very highly.    He is confused because he does not realize that just because you do a flat easy ride on Saturday, it does not mean you can't ride the gaps Sunday.

Hartwell just seems too far away.  I am thinking about the West Georgia Century though.  I see that it is on your list.  I should call you about getting together for some long rides anyway.

Oh yea of little faith, I do not back out on commitments for better deals, only emergencies.  Just because you think about doing the Gaps on Sunday does not mean you can't ride a little on Saturday too.  For your lack of faith, I should back out and do the Challenge of the Centuries instead and the Gaps Sunday  although I have not told David that I would do the gaps yet(in case David is reading this, I do not want him to think I commited and it is not the miles that makes me unsure it is the schedule with my parents.).

I love the SCT.  I could ride there almost everyday but I am a bit anal I guess.  I also enjoy my own company and do not get bored very easily.

Kacie, they do not have a very good website.  There are not maps, but more than likely they will have different rides for different days.  Since they do not have a profile map, you just have to go by the location of the ride which is in Hartwell.  It is somewhat hilly there.

I officially retract my statement that Neal is an indian giver of riding commitments.  He is not so bad most of the time.

Kind of a weak retraction, but I guess that will do.

Let's tell them the WHOLE (short version) story.  Brian wants to ride the SCT on SATURDAY.  I say ok.  David says let's ride the Gaps on SUNDAY.  I do not say anything but sounds like a good idea since David is a nice guy.  Brian sends email about riding after Saturday.  I send email asking if he wants to ride the the Gaps SUNDAY.  I just did not say anything about not riding Saturday because I thought we would do both.  Brian does not realize that you can ride two days in a row and thus besmirches my reputation.

I feel better now.    I am bad a lot of the time.  I can't help it.
