Stood around yapping and almost missed my start. I jumped in line about 10 people back from getting in the water...yikes! I guess I never had time to get nervous!

I swear, my wetsuit makes me swim slower. I forget to kick of all things. Hopefully my next race will be warm enough that I can just skip the wetsuit.

It was pretty chilly, particularly when wet, so I took the time to yank my sleeves on for the bike. Slowed me down, but I was glad I had them.

Due to an ankle injury, I've been training on an 8/2 run/walk interval. For this race, I actually walked 1 min, then saved the other min for an upcoming hill I might want to walk up.
