anything chocolate.

this past winter we warmed up with a "Peppermint Pattie"

hot chocolate (real stuff, not powder from a bag)

shot of peppermint schnapps

topped with whipped cream, dark chocolate shavings and a peppermint stick.

Chocolate, Chocolate and more Chocolate.

A drugstore was selling Premium Lindt Easter bunnies on sale for $1.00 each, need I say more.  I have them locked up for emergencies.  You won't believe what constitutes an emergency around here.  Needless to say there is no longer a cluster of bunnies.

Chocolate cake donuts from Krispy Kreme...you are wanting me to break my training diet! You know how you get those freshly cooked at the Krispy Kreme store? They had freshly cooked chocolate cake donuts there the other day and I seriously would give up my first born for one. I won't eat any other kind of donut now!

Unagi = Sea Urchin..Right? Cause I'll eat lots of raw stuff.. but you WON'T find me eating that..

Nope. Unagi is eel... bbq-ed in some kind of savory sauce. Cooked. Sooooo yummy!

I don't really like the raw stuff, to be honest.

Mountain Dew.  When I get really dehydrated, this is what I CRAVE!

Funny you should say that. When I'm getting dehydrated, I crave water. But add to that a little fuel-depletion, and all I can think about is a cold COKE. It's a sign to me that it's way past time for a little sports drink and a Clif Shot.

Where to begin.....

oh year with BEER! if not a good Belgian, like Lucifer or Chimay, then Red Hook ESB

Followed by proper pommes frites with homemade mayonaisse and grilled bratwurst with cheedar and kraut on a hard roll

If it's summer, I'll marinate a beef brisket in whiskey and worstershire sauce and smoke it for about 6 hours, sliced fine and served with slaw

serve with a pitcher of Gilligans

10oz dark rum, 4oz Triple sec, 2oz cocanut rum,1tsp vanilla extract,1 12 oz can orange/pinepple juice concentrate,24 oz water, lots of ice

or a chocolate cloud cake.............or maybe.......

Wow.

Can I come over to your place for dinner?

As to the pizza debate -- what they make in Chicago is indeed very, very tasty and good. But it is really not a pizza -- it is a casserole. Two different things! I think there is room in this world for both styles, I just wish they didn't go by the same name. Chicago deep-dish pizza is about cheese and thick dough. NY-style pizza is about a thin, very crisp, flaky cracker crust, with very flavorful sauce (plenty of oregano aroma), and just enough mixed mozzarella, parmesan, and romano cheese to cover the top lightly. All cooked in a very hot oven that's at least 80 years old! I can't write any more about it...It's too long until my next trip.

Okay, so besides the KK chocolate cake doughnuts, I have to add Wegman's Chocolate chip muffins. I just bought a 4-pack yesterday, and...well, I sort of ate them all today.

Wegmans rocks. The muffins are just to die for. Don't get the brownies or chocolate chip cookies either - they were responsible for about 20lbs on me before I had to move to get away from em. OMG it's out of control.

Current indulgence: Tex Mex and Margaritas, on the deck, watching the sun set, listening to Jack Johnson.

Right behind that is these donuts that mary and tony make at this little neighborhood shop that's been around forever - cake with vanilla powdered sugar frosting. Eaten in the car so the evidence is gone before arriving at work

Tapas...the meal that keeps on coming, but must include a palella (sp) and take 4 hours to eat good times with good friends,

Anything from the Fauchon bakery in Paris,

Champagne - it's the happy drink, ready to do your bidding morning, noon, or night.

I can't even look at them in the store, or I know I'll be putting on weight that week.

Boys and Girls, it doesn't get any better than this. Poutine, for those from Quebec, you know, for those uninitiated, fries, sprinkled with some curd cheese and smothered in a brown gravy. Yes the arteries harden instanlty but man it is sooooo good. The best can be found at a road side fry wagon on the laurentian autoroute.
