I would have been right around that if I'd been allowed to draft too.

When you do one of these you land on the inside of thigh that you jump from(most people run on the left side of their bike with the right hand as the guide(on the stem or seat)) the left thigh.  You slide down the thigh and land on the seat.  This way you do not have to actually land on  your butt or the "boys".  This way also allows to not land on your clipped in shoes and not break your rubberbands.

Edit: Also it does not matter how big the chase pack is unless their organized. 3 people in the break can go just as fast as a group with only  3 people chasing.

Question: Is ITU a Team Sport? By that i mean if you have a country mate in the break do you chase.

JeepFleeb - 2009-06-01 8:53 AM Jorge: Ethan ran a pretty smart race.  Out of the water in the 2nd pack.  Pulled on the bike until his pack joined the big group then he sat back and relaxed so he could throw down a solid run.  6th place was pretty impressive.

Joe: I shoot with a Canon 30D + 70-200 f/2.8

It's the first time I've ever felt the limitations of this setup.  This was completely different than shooting a regular tri.

Nice shots, what made in differant? Was it the distance? If so, these shots look great.

I recently jumped on the DSLR ship and purchased a Nikon D60 with a 18-55 and 55-200. I am still learning, but getting better everyday...kinda like my races....
