Before tri, I'd stay up till 2 am easily on weekend nights. 11 pm pushing 12 am weekday nights. Generally up between 7-8 am (no breakfast ever, tired all day). Edited to add: Weekends I'd sleep in till about 11am-12pm, and the day would be ruined - except that didn't matter, 'cause I'd never go outside much, and Saturdays were extremely lazy days.

Now... 10-12 pm weekend nights, 9-10pm weekday nights. Generally up between 4:45-6:45 am depending on work/training schedule and if it's the weekend (sleep in till 6:45ish). Breakfast every day, and full of energy!

Always been an early bird - even as a child/teen. Maybe a bit more so since Tri has come into my life, just so darn tired in the  evening now

I've always been a night owl, going to bed around 11-12 at night (sometime later) and up around 6am for work. Both me and the wifey like to do our training right after work during the week, so no need to get up extra early. We have no kids and we are both training for endurance events (her marathon, me triathlon). Since we're both training we aren't missing out on the QT with each other.

I don't love really early mornings but i don't require coffee to get me going. I prefer to see the day from the morning light!!

I've always been an early bird. In high school I had to get up at 5 to get to school on time (2 public buses across town), then I started working the 5am shift at the YMCA so I had to get up at 4, and then I worked for the post office and had a shift that regularly started at 4am.

As an undergrad, I could do the "up til 3am and still make an 8am class" thing, but as soon as I got to grad school, I couldn't handle it anymore. Just absolutely knackered.

The only time I happily get up early is before a race. Otherwise I'm so grumpy I'm practically The Bear.

I'm all over the map on this one. I like being up early, hate getting up early. Like staying up late and like going to bed early. As long as I get a solid 7-8 hours I'm good to go. It's also a bit tough if I'm up early and late on the same day, like up early on Saturday for a long run and out late Saturday night for a social event. Gotta have a nap in there for that.

I usually go to bed around 11 or 12 and get up around 7 or 8.  That means most of my training is done after work, but since my husband is also training then it works out.

I'm not a big fan of getting up early for races.  I have one at 9 on Sunday and I'm excited about the late start.

Up at 5 on weekdays, and I try to be in bed by 8:30 when I don't have class at night.

I would LOVE to run a tri at night.  Swimming shortly before the sun goes down would be perfect!
My body does not like to function before 7am.

I hate mornings. Absolutely hate them. I get up to ride/run/swim... because it's when that is done. Especially in Texas. In the summer you can't start running 10 miles at Noon.

Now, during the winter... I'm all about sleeping in and training a little later in the day. Although, I typically found myself training by 10:00 AM. I knew if waited around too long it wouldn't get done.

Also, I don't really like racing all that much, because I hate getting up at 4:00 AM to do it.

I have found that running in the morning is miserable for me. My body doesn't function. Swimming and cycling I can pull off though.

Honestly, I function best later in the day all the way around.

Here in Texas we have a 25/50 K run that starts at midnight in the summer. It's so awesome!

4-6 hours of sleep a night and awake by 4:00 AM on weekends, holidays just because I cannot physically sleep later.

I've been an early morning person my whole life. I cannot deal with late nights that well unless I'm on a night flight schedule and have reversed my whole cycle.

Considering my screen name, my answer is obvious. I would like very much for that to change though!
