Where is the best place in the city or surrounding area to open water swim? Preferably somewhere with no boat traffic, ie Chestermere or Ghost.  Is there anywhere near Airdrie or NW Calgary?  Anyone up for some group swims if it is an isolated lake (so a farmer doesn't find my body floating in his dugout three weeks after I drown)?

My gym membership is due on Wednesday, so if I can find a good place to start swimming outdoors I am not going to renew.

Arbour Lake is not having a tri this year. Best bet is to befriend someone who lives in a lake community! I live up in NW Calgary as well and yes we are limited in our options. We are up at Gull Lake alot( near Red Deer) so that is where I will be getting mine this year.
