Subject: Has anyone had this?
I have discomfort on the back of my heel. It hurts in the morning but if I stretch it I find it better for about 10 mins. The stretch is press heel down on a step and push toes with hand towards my shins. What could this be? I feel pain when I wear my shoes. This is not on the bottom of the heel. My calf's do not hurt and they are not tight. Could it be achilles or PF? I see the dr on wensday. Help! Thanks in advance for all your help.

I'm not a doc, but it does sounds like achillies tendonitis to me.  Be careful, this can be an on going injury and can get alot worse if you don't take care of it. Becareful with stretching because when I stretch mine too much it actually irritates it. I let mine get really bad and have been working through it for a year and a half now!

I am dealing with the exact same thing.  I havent been to the doctor yet, but I am curious if they can do anything for it, or if it is just a take some tylenol and rest perscription.  Anybody ever been treated for this?

It's AT.  I've had it for three months and have been in PT for two months.  It is going away and my last four runs have been pain free.  Same exact thing in both heels.  Stretching, massage, and ultrasound was the miracle cure for me.  Go get some PT though.  It really helps.
