Comments:

This swim was one of my worst ever, I went hard early, didn't realize hwo cold the water was and lost my breath and rhythm. I lost about 5 minutes in the swim.
What would you do differently?:

A few more open water swims prior to first race of the season
Transition 1
  • 02m 30s
Comments:

OK transition, I lost about 20 seconds to a heel snag
What would you do differently?:

lube my ankles next time

Comments:

Close the roads and widen the lanes, otherwise this race is very well done.
What would you do differently?:

Train more in pre-season, I needed more trainer work
Transition 2
  • 01m 30s
Comments:

Good T2, forgot my race belt, lost 20 seconds

Comments:

Slightly difficult out and back with a medium hill at the 5k mark. I felt quit good on the run.

Course: I love this course, rolling hills and usually very fast. The downside is the start and finish when you are riding with the sprint course participants. The road was open to traffic and there was not enough room for Bertha on her huffy and those that were actually trying to race.

Not a bad race at all, despite you being unhappy with your swim.  Nicely done.
