OMG - my kids need to not see those pictures!  ADORABLE!  You won't need to wait 1-2 YEARS  more like 6 months!  We had a black lab and by 6 months he was doing short 1-2 mile runs with hubby!  By a year he was up to 4-5 miles.   Just watch out for hip problems - when Cromwell 9he was a very formal dog)  turned 3 he started having problems with the rear hips

Most vets will tell you not to run with your dog until they are at least a year old becuase they are still growing and developing. Do you think your dog had hip problems because you ran with him at such a young age? That was the first thing that popped into my head. Not saying that was the cause, just a question I would wonder about if that happened to my dog.

My vet even discouraged super long walks until 6 months old since the legs and hips and back are all adjusting to growing so fast.

And CUTE PUP to the OP... omg!!!

Adorable, just check with your vet. Ours told me only walking or VERY light SHORT jogs until she was over a year so that she wouldn't have hip problems when she gets older. Have fun
