Subject: OWS in Canandaigua starts today.
The OWS swimming at the north end of Canandaigua Lake Starts tonight at Kershaw park.   Swimming will begin 6-7 oclock.   Left the attendent knwo you are swimming with the Sawbellies.  We are through the turn style and to the left.  Watch out for the new grass.  Water is around 65 degrees.  Wet suits are legal.

Hey Dexter how does this work need to get some open water swims in jsut show up is there a fee or anything?  What is the course like?  Thanks Dave

Just show up. There's a fee to get onto the beach if you're not a resident of Canandaigua. I think it's $2.

The course is nice, it's about one mile long and marked with buoys. Here's a map. You can stand up anywhere on it, the water's about 4 feet deep along most of it.

If you tell the attendents that you are swimming with the sawbellies, they usually don't charge even for non-residents.
